Air Conditioning Pipe Crimping: The Connection Code Hidden Behind Cooling
Air conditioning pipe crimping is a core process in air conditioning pipe connection, especially for the sealing and fixing of copper pipes and fittings, directly determining the cooling efficiency and service life of the air conditioner. The principle involves using a crimping machine to drive a tapered crimping sleeve, which compresses a corresponding tapered spring head, deforming the outer pipe and tightly wrapping the inner pipe and hose, forming a secure seal.
Compared to traditional welding, the crimping process offers significant advantages. Welding can easily produce internal oxides that wear down the compressor, while crimping keeps the inner wall of the pipeline clean and requires no open flame, making construction safer. High-quality crimping requires the use of national standard thick-walled copper pipes, and reinforced sealing through multiple grooves and sealing rings effectively prevents refrigerant leakage and reduces future maintenance costs.
During operation, it is crucial to precisely match the mold specifications and strictly control the crimping depth; too loose will lead to leakage, while too tight may damage the pipeline. This mature technology, originating from the aerospace industry, is now widely used in the air conditioning field, acting as an "invisible guardian" to ensure the stable operation of air conditioning systems.
